Vancouver’s newest residential tower now features a public art LED light display along the south facing concrete centre of the two towers at 1499 W. Pender St: the 120 meter West Tower (36 levels) and the shorter 30 meter East Tower (10 levels).
Created by Dutch artist, Tamar Frank, the eight meter-long horizontal LED strips will change computerized patterns and color 40 times per hour. The new lighting feature makes the building extremely visible in the evening as far away as UBC.
Views of the water and mountains are visible from all of the suites and the location in proximity to the seawall makes West Pender Place an extremely desirable location. The building was just completed in June 2010 and currently their are some excellent real estate investment deals in the building to be had for the intelligent investor, but this will not last long as inventory is quickly diminishing due to high demand. Within the past 5 years, real estate values in Coal Harbour have increased by 35% and an astounding 200% in 10 years.
