Hastings-Sunrise sits on the most eastern edge of Vancouver, best known for being the home of the Pacific National Exhibition.

Single professionals and young families make up a majority of the residents in the area, with several local parks, schools and public transportation routes going into Downtown Vancouver or UBC along East Hastings. The area features independent locally-owned restaurants, cafes, butchers and ethnic grocery stores, in addition to several wholesale and manufacturing shops. In the past years, the area has been focused on revitalizing community initiatives such as public area improvements, a beautification project, and several community events. Enjoy a beer flight at one of the many breweries, easily missed as they are hidden among the industrial warehouses. Take a stroll through New Brighton Park, located along the waterfront and showcasing beautiful views of the North Shore mountains and Burrard Inlet. Families enjoy year-round community events in the area such as the Fair at the PNE, Chinese New Year Celebration, and the Sunrise Summer Kickoff.
