Commercial Drive

Commercial Drive, known as “The Drive”, is the main shopping and arts scene in East Vancouver. Home to hipsters, artists, bohemians, and university students: this area has hip cafes, eclectic restaurants, and vintage clothing boutiques. The Drive used to be known as “Little Italy”, and you can still find a selection of Italian restaurants and deli’s. This area is well serviced in public transit with Commercial SkyTrain station as a main artery of the SkyTrain network. Housing in this unique community is typically low-rise older apartments and large, heritage houses. Be sure to check out one of the summer community festivals at Grandview Park, catch a show at The Cultch, or enjoy the skating rink at Britannia Community Centre.
