Fairview-Slopes runs east of Burrard Street stretching to Cambie Street, and includes the portion south of West 2nd Avenue to West 16th Avenue.

West Broadway runs through the Fairview-Slopes area, the locations of several big-box chains, restaurants, and cafes. Vancouver General Hospital sits at the heart of this area, surrounded by nearby health related institutions such as the BC Cancer Agency and the BC Cancer Research Centre. Housing in this area mostly consist of low-rise apartments, townhouses, and newly-developed condos. Residents north of West Broadway enjoy panoramic views of the city core and the North Shore mountains, access to the famous Seawall, where most of Vancouver’s biking and running enthusiasts are found. Granville Island is also found in this area, featuring a year-round farmer’s market, Granville Island Brewery, Emily Carr Art Institute, and an array of live theatre venues and art studios.
